 At Healthy Alternatives Day Spa and Wellness Center, our focus is quite simple. YOU. 
You are our focus and we cater to your personal needs. With our soothing massages, 
refreshing body treatments, and relaxing facial treatments, we make you feel so special... 
because you are!  We use tried and tested techniques and products that we would use for
ourselves and our own families. 

From the moment you walk into the cozy lobby you will feel your daily stress melt away.  
You will be greeted as a dear friend and offered a sweet treat or a beverage while you wait to 
enter one of our relaxing treatment rooms.  Your specialist will cater to your every wish.

Healthy Alternatives Day Spa and Wellness Center was established at 1107 Donnelly Street, Mount
Dora Florida, in August 1997.  The business continues to grow each year with a high percentage of
new clients sent by referral.

The Spa is currently staffed with seven licensed massage therapists and two aestheticians in addition
to a full time Spa manager.

Clients are seen six days a week, Monday through Saturday from 8:30am to 5pm with evening hours
and Sundays by appointment.  While the majority of clients are female, the population of males has
been growing steadily, as spa treatments for men have become increasingly popular.

The Spa's menu of services is periodically updated to reflect new trends in a variety of areas: 
multiple types of massage techniques are employed depending on the client's needs; body wraps,
scrubs, and facials utilize the well-known Pevonia line of skin care products.  In addition to 
Pevonia, retail products include music, books, essential oils and other health-based stress-relief
items. Our products include: Recharge Bio Jouvance Paris, Dermaquest, Derma Sante, and other
fresh natural products.

During non-appointment hours, space is available to hold classes on health and beauty topics. 
We also offer certified courses in hypnosis and Reiki. We hold workshops in Hypnosis every first
Monday of the month and Reiki circle every last Monday of the month.

Healthy Alternatives is well-established and respected in the community and has a reputation of
offering exceptional care to its clients.

 Dr. Aida Alejandra Oliver, PhD.
 Owner / Director

  Dr. AIDA ALEJANDRA OLIVER Ph.D. is the owner/director and
 international instructor of Healthy Alternatives Day Spa &
 Training Institute. She has had a strong range and depth of
 expertise in the field of hypnosis for many years.  She has a Ph.D.
 in clinical Hypnotherapy, a Bachelor’s degree in education as well 
 as a Post Graduate diploma in Psychoanalytic Studies from
 Brunel University in London. Also, she is a member of the 
 Institute of Professional Psychologists; The National Board of
 Professional and Ethical Standards; AHA  American Hypnosis
 Association; and The International Association of Reiki
 Professionals and the National Guild of Hypnotists. 

  Dr. Oliver started her business in England and continued her
 successful practice in London for almost fifteen years, offering
 hypnosis, Reiki, psychoanalytic counseling, NLP, massage and
 facials. When she came to America , she studied for her licenses
 again and learned the latest techniques offered in the U.S. 
 colleges. Her background includes teaching, nursing,
 psychoanalytic counseling, massage therapy, cosmetology and
 NLP practitioner.

   Dr. Oliver has studied several alternative healing modalities
 and works as a Reiki Master and Ordained Minister. She teaches
 certified courses in Reiki and Hypnosis in her own Training
 Institute.

  Dr Oliver is also a facial specialist and specializes in advance
 chemical peels for melasma, acne, problematic and ethnic skin.

 Melody John
 Massage Therapist

 Melody John is a seasoned, licensed Massage Therapist in high demand, and for good reason: Her training and background in massage therapy has continued over 13+ years! From 1996 - 2003, Melody took industry-related courses in Germany and received her original massage therapy license in Germany. She proceeded with internships and working with physical therapists, orthopedic hospitals, rehabilitation clinics and more until she moved to the U.S.. When she moved to Florida, she updated her license, and she has continued taking updated courses to further her education and keep up with the newest treatments available.

 Melody is specially requested by doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, rehabilitation facilities, local gyms and trainers because of her extensive training and experience. Melody's "magic touch" adjusts to each individual's needs, which means she is strong enough to offer a deep tissue massage to weight trainers, yet gentle enough to be requested for treating cancer patients and the elderly. Melody is experienced in the following areas and more:

 Phyleischa Owen
 Massage Therapist, Holistic Health Practitioner, Certified Personal Trainer
 Phyleischa, aka "Jack of All Trades," has been a massage therapist since the early 90's with most of her background in Post Traumatic Rehabilitation. Over the years, she has worked for Orthopedic Surgeons, Chiropractors, and in select Spas. She also graduated in 2007 as a Holistic Health Practitioner, specializing in nutrition, weight management, and degenerative disease prevention & management. If you want to take it one step further, Phyleischa is also a Certified Personal Trainer and can custom-design a fitness regimen to meet your individual needs. She is dedicated to total wellness and it has always been her passion.

 Janet Dunlap
 Massage Therapist
 Janet is a Licensed Massage Therapist who is also an aesthetician. She graduated from the Massage Institute of Cape Cod, MA and also graduated from the Florida College of Natural Health for skin care as well as an additional 500 hours of massage therapy. Janet's continuing education is a constant, such as Reiki I & II and Integrative Structural Therapy to name a few. Janet also specializes in lymphatic drainage, and reflexology. She will adapt her massage to client’s needs.

 Donna Marie Gebbia
 Licensed Massage Therapist

  Donna is a nationally certified, licensed massage therapist. She graduated from the Florida College of Natural Health in 2006. She is experienced in all massage techniques, especially in reflexology and bodyworks. She is also a Reiki practitioner. 

Donna is offering a free sea salt foot treatment for her first clients.

 Jennifer Lindsey Miceli
 Esthetician/Massage Therapist
 Robin 
    Jennifer Lindsey Miceli offers you her expertise in three realms of Spa Treatment, a career that began Six years ago. In 2004 Jennifer received her Esthetician license and began practicing soon after Graduation with top regional Estheticians such as Monica Leedom and J. Scott Berry. She further studied lymphatic drainage facials and the use of the five elements in Spa Treatments. Jennifer's second area of expertise would be her practice of Reflexology at the Profiency level as studied at the International Institute Of Reflexology in Ft. Lauderdale FL. Here she studied techniques of Reflexology as regarding the necessity of manipulating the feet and hands to reduce stress and disease. She also studied here the Zone theory of Reflexology that proports that the body is separated into zones and these zones are represented on the feet. Manipulation of a certain zone on the foot corresponds to that zone in the body. Finally Jennifer has been a licensed massage therapist for two years and loves to explore all the arenas of Massage Therapy practice such as Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Tenagrity Trigger Points and Shiatsu.
